Randomness is sometimes very RANDOM!

So this is Dave. We have been friends for a very long time. I'm about to tell you a story about what happened yesterday involving him. Just so you all know my wifes cell number is 555-4869 (number slightly changed to protect the innocent). And Daves number is 555-8469. they are very close together. So...on to the story. Yesterday Jamie gets a call, and I can hear her talking to the person telling them that they have the wrong number, then she is listening to the other person talking, and she is telling them sorry, you have the wrong person. When she hangs up the phone I asked her what they wanted. She said that it was Search and Rescue, and someone had found a stranded family way up in the high sierras, and this was the number they had to call them for the directions to where the family was. We were both like awww man they have the wrong number....they are never going to find the family. So I have a thought......"hey, I wonder if by some weird chance they are looking for Dave" (since their numbers are so similar?) She says, "you know what, the guy asked for a Dave when he called." DUN DUN DUN!!!! So I called around and found out that Dave was actually backpacking up in the mountains at the time. NO WAY! what are the odds of all this right. So Jamie calls the guy back and says, "so I know this is going to sound strange, but I actually have a friend named Dave, his number is similar to mine, and he IS backpacking up in the mountains." So Jamie gives the guy Daves number, and he says that if he hears anything he will call us back. A few hours later the guy calls back to thank Jamie giving him Daves number because it was actually him, and to tell her that the family has been found. He told Jamie that if we wouldnt have given him Daves number they would not have gotten ahold of him (cause they had the number written down wrong), and they might not have found the family. Freaking crazy huh! We were trippin out!

Rap Music lol

Hey all. So I did an experiment today and I had some hilarious results. I decided to listen to B95 (local hip hop radio station) ALLLLLL DAY! I know what your thinking....why Kevin? Well there is the fact that I ACTUALLY do like Hip Hop music. Hey its not bad aight! lol. anyways I decided to see how many of the songs talked about the same 3 topics:

1. The Club - No rap song is complete without a few mentions to being "in da club"

2. The Booty - Find me a rap song that does not talk about the lovely booty!

3. Money - Every rapper has more money then the next.

So as I listened I think every rap song I heard had at least 1 of the 3 topics, if not even all 3. Seriously do the experiment yourself. You will see the comedy in this and I guarantee you will find it as funny as I did. Tune into your local hip hop station for a day or so and let the comedy roll. These guys need some SERIOUS originality! But hey! I still love the music.

I am a MORON!!!!!

So I am a complete moron. As you all know we were out of town all weekend. We had a great time, read about it below. So anyways when we got back I needed to run a couple of errands. I am looking feeverishly around the house for my keys. Blaming everyone in the house for losing them except myself. The big problem here is that this is the only set of keys I have to my car. So if I lose them...well...I'm screwed. So in my hunt to find the keys I decide to look in the car. And to my suprise.....there they are. IN THE IGNITION, WITH THE CAR UNLOcKED, ALL WEEKEND, WITH THE DOME LIGHT ON! I should have put a sign on the car as well alerting people to all the free stuff that they can have. keep in mind that my house keys are on that key ring, and oh yeah 1 more thing. We only have liability insurance on the car. So if someone would have stolen it....well you can imagine. So I'll say this.....it doesnt happen often, but I screwed up!

Memorial Weekend Camping

The first family camping trip in the new (20 year old) trailer was a great success!!! So plans changed at the last minute due to weather concerns. We were going to go up to the Sequoia National Park and camp at a place called Big Meadows. Big Meadows is at about 8,100 feet. Thats high. Well as most of you know here in Fresno, the rain came a pourin on Friday. Which meant that the snow was a fallin in Big Meadows. So we all were re-routed to a place called Eshom Campground. When I say we were re-routed, I'm talking about 40 people. Yeah this was a huge camp that we had with a bunch of people. It was great because it didn't rain at all until the morning that we left. So we had some non wet weather the whole time we were there. The girls had a great time sleeping in the trailer, and mom and dad had a great time hanging out with family and friends around the campfire. Andie is already excited for the Dunes which is in 2 weeks. We are excited too. I'll post after that trip as well. Enjoy some of the photos.

"Look mom, I drew a pig"

So this is my daughter Andie, and above her is a pig. So a little background on my daughter. Since she like 1 year old she has loved to draw and paint. She is very artistic, and im not just saying that cause im her dad. So yesterday she was drawing on her little magnetic drawing thingamajigger, when she says to Jamie, "look mom I drew a pig." Now keep in mind people that she isnt even 3 years old. I dont know about you but Jamie and I were blown away at this pig and the detail that a 2 year old could draw. We have some other art from her, i'll photograph and post another time. I guess you could just call me a proud dad!

Will you be watching??

So the European Champions League football (soccer) finals are today! and it is going to be a HUGE game. Basically this is the equivelant to our Super Bowl on crack. Manchester United vs. Chelsea, two bitter rivals are going to duke it out. Just to put you in perspective....over the last 4 years in the British Premier League, either Manchester or Chelsea has won the championship there. These teams are nasty rivals in the world of English football. Its awesome that its two British teams given the fact that the Champions League consists of teams from all over Europe. So basically there is going to be a bunch of British Hooligans getting into drunken trouble over in Russia. Not a good idea if you ask me. Anyways if you want to watch the largest sporting event in the world...its on today. Its on ESPN2 and I think it comes on at 11:30 am PST. I've got my TIVO set right now to record and when I get home im going to snuggle up on the couch with a nice cold beer and root for Manchester United to take the cup home. GO MAN-U

Take all my money Mr. Fuel Pump

Dude! is gas out of hand or what??? I go through so much gas in a day it kills me. I literally drive about 70 miles in a day. Even though my work pays me mileage its still bad. Gas goes up, but the mileage they pay me hasnt gone up in a year. So as of now it still covers my gas, but if it gets much higher i'll be losing money. Jamie called me today and said that she paid $4.15 at Chevron for gas today. The only reason she went to chevron is because she was desperate and it was the nearest gas station. I dont know how Chevron stays in business. Who buys their gas. It's literally .15 cents higher than anywhere else in town. Anyways just ranting because the prices are so outrageous and there is nothing we can do about it!

We just bought it off of a really nice family for $2000. thats right you read correctly! We got a great deal on it. It has 4 bunk beds in the back for the kids and a bed up front for us. Full bathroom, kitchen, microwave, heater, AC, everything you need when camping right! So we are all stoked for our first trip out. We're going somewhere up near hume lake by some creek. I dont know where it's at exactly. We are going with Jamie's cousin and some of their peeps. Anyways I will post some pics from the camping trip once we go. Should be a fun filled weekend of fishing, beer drinking, and maybe some quad riding!

Sydney is 1 today!!!!

Hey all for those of you who dont know. Sydney is officially 1 years old today. It seems like this year has gone by so fast since she was born. She is pretty freakin cool. On another note its Friday which is awesome!!!! Although I have a super busy this weekend cleaning the trailer for camping next weekend. Some people say that camping in a trailer isnt camping.....you know what I say...having a heater and running water, and not freezing my ass off in a tent is camping to me. Plus who can "rough it" with 2 kids. Its so nice to put the kids to bed in the trailer then hang out by the fire with all the friends at night. Were stoked for a packed summer of dunes and mountain camping. See I told you guys I was back. Thats 2 blogs in a row!!!
